Has anyone swapped out their stock risers on a custom sporty with 10+ inch risers?
The risers that come on it are pretty high but I'm looking to raise my drag bars up 4, maybe 5 more inches.
Would this interfere with anything? I redid the cabling so I know they will reach but as far as the speedometer goes I'm not sure. I'm planning on swapping out the tank with a dyna tank and I need to make room. Hence raising up the bars.
I swapped my custom risers for 8.5" pull backs. I have a local shop welding me up some 12" risers now so I can keep the top mounted speedo an not have to worry about twisting the risers.
Without going to tbars you're not going to find riders above 9.5". Companies don't make them for liability reasons. The ones being made for me right now will have plates welded on both sides the whole length of the risers to prevent twisting.
