Default coil/ignition relocation?

Hi all.
this might be a stupid question, but i see a lot of guys relocating their coil and ignition.
is there any benefit to this, or is this just cosmetic?

Cosmetic...although the merchants claim better airflow to the engine

I have a DK CUSTOMS relocation kit on its way to me but only because im lucky enough that my brother lives in the states and i had it sent to him 1st.
DKs prices are very reasonable but their shipping prices to the UK are ridiculously high.
Then we have to pay import on top of that.
A guy posted on here a link to a German company making the same thing..good prices check them out 1st before you order from USA

+1...better ariflow yes because there's no plastic **** surrounding the top of the motor but it can't be real significant. looks f-ing badass though.

No not at all, but the kit was about $50 shipping about $55 and then import about $20 =$125 for a $50 item.
Thats fact not a criticisim.

Still not sure why $55 shipping as i have posted heavier things to USA for a whole lot cheaper

A note on shipping-

About 35% of our shipments are international.

We use postal service Priority Insured or Express Insured & there are no processing charges (like with fedex or UPS).

The shipping for a Coil/Key Relo WITH Plug wires AND with a Tank lift will range between $34.50 and $44.85 for Priority, and $52.40 for Express.

If requested we will put a lower value on the package so that the import tax is lower or nothing.

The thing to remember is that if we do put a lower value, that is all we can insure it for. So if the package is lost or damaged you may be out the money. Fortunately, with International Priority Insured & Express Insured shipments less than 1 in 500 shipments is lost or damaged.

I believe if you compare our prices, including shipping, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Hey hogdiver96, we were posting at the same time. lol

Earlier this year USPS international Priority and Express rates jumped 30-40%, so that may be one reason. The other is that we do NOT use Flat Rate Priority for international shipping. There is HIGH % of those packages that get lost, damaged or delivered as much as 60 days after shipment.

The Non-Flat Rate Priority is quite a bit more expensive than the Flat Rate, thus the higher prices.

$35-$45 for a $50 part is a lot of money and im not saying you can control that because you cant, but for Europeans it makes no sense ordering from you unless we are spending big bucks.
Also it is a serious offence to request lower value on items as this is fraud but i think you can declare actual costs before mark up.
Ps i should say your service was impeccible as you sent my item to Bristol (Virginia) in record time i was most impressed thank you
