My g.f. just bought a 06 883 c shes 5 ,2 i had the stock seat cut down and narrowed and installed a lowing block kit. Also droped the front fork tubes a lil.its still a lil high.is there any other ways to get it lower.was lookin into a lowering shock.
10.5" 412 series Progressives on the back. The upper belt guard had to be lowered slightly because it was hitting the bottom of the fender. Progressive stock height springs in the front. Harley Reduced Reach Solo saddle and discontinued V-Rod Reach bars on stock 1200C risers. I reckon she's about 5'3":
Exactly. Only the rear mount about 3/8". No problems after that. I'm pretty sure the bobtail fender hangs slightly lower than the factory full fender. At least an 1/8" eyeballin' the difference between her '04 and my '05.
I also installed a jiffy stand off a Nightster to give it more lean when parked. The clevis pin and bushings (iirc) for the Nightster is different than the stock 883C jiffystand hardware so I used the Nightster versions.
