Default Breather bolts - Loctite? Anti-Seize?

My service manual doesn't say to use anything; I've heard red Loctite, and I've heard anti-seize.

What should I be using on my breather bolts?

Thx.

I personally don't use anything, and have never had a problem with them coming loose. If you must use something, go with blue. Red is for things you never want to remove, and this is not one of those places.

Agreed. No need to use it.

the se ac calls for white (high temp) locktight for the breather bolts that go in the head...or at least they did in 2008 on the twin cams...the filter assy. came with a small tube of it...

Blue loctite on all the hardware. My S/E AC even came with a small tube.

Strange, I just pulled my Dealer installed SE Heavy Breather and the crankcase bolts did not have loctite on them?

That's good to hear, I just discovered mine were loose and weeping after about a year without loctite. I reinstalled them with blue loctite.

Another for the blue. Put that stuff on everything if you're at all concerned. I rarely use it and I always regret it. One day I'll sort myself out...
