Transmission fluid question
My used bike did not come with a manual either but the first thing I bought was an owners manual, got it on Ebay for $20 but the dealership has them for about that price too. I highly recommend you get that for you bike.
answer : any oil that does not have friction additives will do .
that includes most any oil you would put in the engine .
I have run atf in my tranny sometimes ( easy shifts in cold weather )
I now run rotella 15/40 ..Thats what I run in my diesel truck, three bikes , and lawnmowers/chipperschreddar/and 5k generator..
reason ? all are just 4 stroke engines,and tranny's.
And , never have to worry about what goes in what ..
All there is in the tranny is wet clutch , a few bearings/bushings and gears..
oh yeah the stator gets wet too ..

got to the harley dealer....tell him or her the year and model and what you need...he or she will give you the CORRECT fluid that harley designed the bike to run on.....very simple.
as for manuals....it will tell you the same thing
i also picked up a shop service manual for $60 and it is fantastic....
bottom line...if you paid the dealer to service your bike....wouldnt you want harley parts or are you ok with cheap knock off parts for the same price????
i prefer oem stuff....it always fits, its designed to work with the vehicle...easy to get also.
just my .02
