Graduation Ride
Just got home this afternoon from my first big ride of the year. 720 miles in total over 2 days. My dad and I decided to take the highways instead of hopping on the interstate.
For those of you who are familiar with the area, we took off from Grand Forks, ND and took Highway 2 east through Duluth/Superior and over too Ironwood, MI then took Highway 51 south to Minocqua, WI. We stayed overnight at a Best Western which gives HOG members 10% off the price. We left the next morning taking Highway 51 down towards Wausau then took Highway 29 east over to Green Bay. From there we took interstate 43 down to Milwaukee.
It was a great ride. Very, very scenic and little traffic the whole way. The weather was sunny and in the 80's the whole time. Talk about a perfect ride!
