the bike is a 93. is there compatibility issues with cables or are they mostly the same throughout the harley world.
I'm not sure. Here are the cable part #'s that I replaced the stock with. They are the same cables as the black stock but are Diamondback so they measure the same.
38848-09 clutch (38665-07a in black)
46808-05a throttle/idle (56431-98 stock black for mini-apes)
42764-07-42371-07 brake, upper/lower. Don't know the black stock #. It may be a 1 piece cable.
i replaced my bars with 12" apes. Cables were a major rip off from HD.
i bought cables from Zodiac. they are nowlisted in their supplement. a hell of a lot cheaper than hd and good quality.

Anything thats NOT from HD is usually better and about half the price. We already bought the name to advertise, why give them more when we get so much less from them? Id buy after market ANYTHING rather than spend the crazy amount of $$ HD wants.
What year is your bike? I've got a full set of 10.5" HD mini-apes and cables I'm looking to sell. PM me.
Did you get rid of them yet? How much more pullback would i get from those compared to a set of stock(buckhorns i think they are, on a ZL1200L? I need atleast 2 inches min. Riding yesterday hurt so dayum bad because to make use of my drivers rest, i still have to reach and ride straight armed and the shoulders and neck just dont do that anymore with the failed surgeries and scar tissue issues. Prolly cant ride again for a day or 3 till i can move my arms Ugh!
