The bars will fit without the 1" risers, but they will hit the tops of the fork tubes. You can drop the forks a tiny bit to get better clearance or get the 1" or 2" risers from Loner Industries. I had my bars on for a year without the risers and the forks did put small dents in the bottoms of my bars. No biggy though, you will be fine if you don't want risers. I put Joker Machine fork caps on mine so I had to get risers so I could re-mount the bars. The Joker Machine fork caps stuck up to high for the bars to fit.
