13k for an 8k motorcycle with a few tires and a little oil thrown in on the side? Screwed ain't the word for it. If you can manage to ride a million miles in the next 36 months, you might actually get ahead on that deal.
You could have taken that extra 5k and bought a used bike just like it for a spare.
I'm happy then. I'd rather pay more for stuff that is covered vs bs I don't hafta deal with.
It would really depend on how many miles you put on the bike during a normal 'years riding'..
I ride between 20,000 to 25,000 miles each year, so if it were my only bike the 36,000 miles would be 'used up' during the standard factory 2-year warranty period.
The free tire part would be nice, but they only cost around $175 for a set each 10,000 miles (plus installation cost).
I think my 07 1200 Custom was around $9,900 - but the dealer also added the bs assembly/doc fees for about $700 more.. I didn't add any other options though. It sounds like they may have really sold you a lot of additional services??
i do agree thats expensive. but you got the warranty which is good. the 10000 mile service is like 300 bucks. sorry but i'm poor white trash and thats expensive. but if they're covering the service under the warranty then thats great. i don't have 3 big ones just laying around so i wish i had that on my bike deal. i could do the 10000 service but it'll void my warranty and with the problems i've had with my bike, the warranty has saved me 600 bucks on the first tranny work and 900 on the second. so i'll keep my warranty.

New bikes have a 24 month warranty, so he only got an extra 12 months for a great deal of money...
Doing your own service will not void your warranty.
Where the heck does anyone get a SET of tires for 175 bucks? (I aint buyin tires off the Internet and then have to ask a shop to mount 'em, that is BS!) My tires last about 12k give or take and it's $300 mounted. So that would be $600, plus the fact if ya run over something and ruin a tire, it's covered. Like wanna said the 5k and the 10k service are gonna cost $500 a piece. Yes you can do them yerself, but what the hey. If your happy, it's a good deal. I owuldn't sweat it. Plus the maintenance is due at 1k 5k 10k 15k 20k 25k 30k 35k so ya gotta consider that too. Each one is different in cost. Like I said, don't let thses dudes ruin yer feeling, if you are happy it's a good deal.
On some Additional Warranties the maintenece MUST be doen at the Dealer. If you bought an extended warranty you beter read the fine print, SOME have that as a requirement. SOME not ALL. He said Maintenance is covered, that aint warranty, thats maintenance. Go add up the Dealer Cost to do yer maintenance at the Dealer.

I run tires on my Sporty that arearound than 100 bucks a set. I buy them and mount them myself. However, I have an indy buddy that would be glad to put a set of them on a Sporty for 175 bucks. He recommended them to me 10+ years ago. I've been running them ever since with no problems. http://www.motorcycle-atv-chains.com...roduct/T-SR712
