First, let me apologize if this is an inappropriate question, but I'd really like to know if I'm getting a good deal on a 2012 Nightster. The dealer is offering one for $11807.60 out the door.
That sounds about fair, but not a "good" deal. MSRP is 10k, tax should be around 975 (9.75% in my county at least) and that leaves $800ish to spare. Sure as hell DMV fees/reg aren't THAT high. I suspect delivery/destination fee?
I would try to haggle for few hundred and go from there. Is that OTD price the advertised showroom tag or person-to-person quote?

What do you all think?
Thanks,

Well that sounds like a good deal....for the dealer. Personally Im not paying over the MSRP......tell them to ditch those bogus set up and freight fees.
knock $300 more off for the freight cost, and have them give you $500 gift card for the store or add-ons.
This might make it look better in your head. This is if they don't wave the entire $800 over charge. Get where I'm coming from? Or ask them to pay the sales tax.
I got the same exact bike last month in Michigan for $10,900. They were at about what you have but I asked them to pay the sales tax and that knocked it down to where I ended up. You're getting a "fair" deal, but they certainly have room to move a little.
Got the same for 11.7 - I think the original price was 12 .2 - the black denim has an additional up charge for the paint - the other nightsters were around 300 less from the get go due to the paint. Gr8 looking ride. Enjoy.
