Question Z bars vs Keystone ?

Hey everyone,

So I have had te drag bars on for about a year and they are fun but lately I have been doing a lot more longer rides and have a passenger so I am looking to change it up. What are your guys and grls opinions on licks 10 inch Z bars an Biltwells keystone bars ? I'm 5'9 and looking for a more cOmfortable ride but something that will look good with the irons lines ! I kno the keystones can use stock cables and wires but can you run wires internally with those angles ?

Thanks any pictures are appreciated and all input welcome

Matt

Hey, I have the same bike and have been thinking of the same bars, actually.

It seems that with the Biltwell Keystones at least, it would increase my reach. I'm not sure about that. I only know the feel of the stock bars on the Iron, which are alright. I almost think something a tad bit closer to me would be more comfortable.

I just added the Keystones and Lonestar (?) 2" risers on my 48 yesterday, after himming and hawing, and I love them. I had to play with the metal part of the brake line, but otherwise was easy, seems to be lots of cable room. I will however get steel lines for the brake eventually:

They are narrower than the stockers, but other than low-speed muscle I don't think it will make much of a difference.

I'm hoping to internally wire them, too. Saw a youtube vid of someone using a snake and some compressed air...on some really wonky bends...and he made it look easy.

Keystones are widely uncomfortable. They're also too close together to make your mirrors useful. Look good, but feel like crap.

I love my Licks 10" Z bars with 1" loner industries risers. I also have Licks cycles 3" round mirrors. Use the Magnum Shielding "BYO" kit # 496190A. $50. 6ft line with 90 degree and 60 degree banjo bolts. I cut my line down to around 45 inches.
