Cool...this is the seat I have just ordered to replace my original HD solo sprung seat, does the bare bones come with red stitching as standard? I thought it was black stitching!
Yes, does come w black.. I ordered the red as an option
Here's my new seat from La Rosa its the antique shedron color. I also got the matching passenger pillion pad. I was wary of the suction cup attachment method but its the real deal. It's tested up to at least 80 with nothing on it. I used some condensed dish washing soap on the cups to form the best seal.
Those are the 3" barrel springs. Installation was a bit of a pain. Had to drop the front of the rear fender so I could fit an Allen wrench under the pan to tighten the pan to the frame.
It's more comfy than my stock two up seat because of the added springs. Although after about 45 minutes of riding I feel the need to readjust. Might have to get the gel insert.
It does raise your ride height about an inch or so but I haven't put a tape on it.
I have a sick saddles, solo seat. Lizard skin, with the gel. I highly recommend sick saddles seats, very comfortable. & they are rather inexpensive, but they are very high quality.
I have the Sick Saddles gator skin two up seat, with gator hand grips to match. Thought it would be slightly ostentatious, but I think the look fits. Not one to complain, so believe me when I say- the Sick Saddles level of comfort is MILES above that of the stock seat.. and that is without the memory foam or the gel options
