My wife lost a glove on the Nys thruway when she took it off for a second to use her phone, went back and couldn't find it. 3 days later I repond with my fire department to a accident on the thruway and as I get out of the truck I spot the glove on the median. After a wash it was as good as new.
Oh a guy we were riding with had his iPhone fly out his pocket and at 70+ I couldn't avoid it. Ran it smack over. He found it, but it was in several pieces. He was also a dickbag so I didn't really feel bad.
Not on a bike but Im still wondering where that nice hub cap I painted up(sounds odd but it looked really neat) to match my car 4 years ago went even though I heard it come off saw it in the mirror and still couldnt find it
Lost my half helmet on the highway, darn plastic quick release broke and it flew off just before I could catch it. It happened 2 blocks from my house and I still haven't found it. Goblins must have grabbed it.
My keys fell out of my pocket once on a 2 1/2 mile night ride. The key ring had the keys for my house, truck, Jeep, office, P.O. Box, ... everything except the sportster key. And no one was home to let me in. And snow was predicted for later that night.
I retraced my ride slowly on the bike and saw nothing, so I back tracked my route on foot with a flashlight. The undamaged keys were laying in the street just under 2 miles into my walk.
There was plenty of snow on the ground in the morning.
