It happened an hour ago, in D.C. I was coming out of work when it started pouring rain (as in rainstorm). I remembered that one should not ride when it just started riding after several days of dry weather. So I waited 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, I got very hungry and I thought I'd just go home. I rode in such rain before. I got on the bike, exited the parking lot by going through a 5-feet large river running down the side of the street and hit the highway.
There was so much water on the highway that the left lane was submerged and cars wouldn't drive in it. The rain was not too cold, not too warm. Perfect.
I arrived home 20 minutes completely drenched, with one inch of water in each boot but with a big smile on my face.
