I ordered the coil and ignition relocation with the f6 relocation and 2" tank lift on tuesday morning. Came in the mail early this morning! How come everybody cant ship their stuff out and have it within 2 days. Its amazing!
Anybody have any tips or tricks for the install to go smoother than what it already seems? It'll be going on a 2012 48
Any thank you DK Customs, you definitely got my business!
What are you new or something? Haha jk yeah theyve got incredibly fast shipping and even a military discount which is awesome.
To help with the wire tuck. I unbolted the front of the tank and loosened the rear then lifted the front and placed a piece of 2x4 to hold it up. Disconnected all the wiring connectors and re connected them to untangle the freaking mess Harley left under there at the factory. Everything else is super easy. Run down to autozone napa or oriellys and grab a bottle of blue thread locker for the head. Also I ran the wires for the ignition along the conduit on the right side and just zip tied it there. Looks good in my opinion.
DK = GREAT SERVICE! I ordered a part the old-fashioned way (I don't do plastique) by personal check / mail and it was shipped promptly, even before the check cleared! My HD dealer in town won't take checks even when drawn on a local bank! Excellent communication by e-mail on order status and tracking, too. Kevin's presence on these forums gave me the confidence to place my first DK order. (disclaimer: I have no affiliation with DK Customs) Cheers, RR
The instructions seem super strait forward, and simple. Hopefully it goes at easy at it looks, cant imagine it being a pita. Thanks for the tip on the wiring harness, should make for a nice clean set up
