it will be alot of trouble i would think, with the ecm and getting it worked out, but whatever floats your boat. i wouldnt do it unless i was gonna go all out and do the S&S kit. heres my 2 cents. love my efi.
i have both.

the only two people i have tracked down that have actually done this conversion used the s&s kit and they both said it sucked and they could bever get it to tune right. they just used a oem cv carb from an older sporty. i have not had good dealings with s&s parts and i have a few buddies who know anything and everything about motorcycles and they wont use them. im looking to keep it in a budget if i do it so i will probably use a oem cv carb from any evo sporty, a manifold from an 04-06 and weld up the map sensor bung, and then swap my cam cover out for the pre 04 model and install a twin tec ignigtion. my only question i havent gotten a solid answer for is if the 04 up cams will fit with the older cam cover. if i was just riding this bike on a daily basis and with mild modification i would keep it efi for sure. but elevation changes etc dont really matter. this bike will get some miles but it is no a roadking.

also, the ecm would not matter if i swap. it would be sold with the super tuner that is mated to it
Taber Nash of Nash Motorcyle Co. has made the switch from EFI to Carb on more than a couple of Sportys. I know one of the bikes was Nick Perri's of Perri Ink Cartel. http://perriink.com/
why not just get a carb engine to put in the bike and be done with it....duh? And other than 250cc and less track bikes and boardtrack racers that had CONSIDERABLY less weight than your bike what bikes have skinny rear wheels like that and race. Theres a big fat prostitute that works the streets around here that has legs like pool cues, thats what your wheels remind me of. Go ahead and go all out and take off the front brake and jockey shift it while your at it, you can call the bike "bad decisions".

this from a guy who puts his "exhaust, pegs and bling" as notable features in your signature. are those even mods? not in my book. but i bet you like rolling up to the dealership and having the same lame *** bike as every other person who bought a 48 and bought the dealerships goodies. this bike did have jockey shift at one time and probably will again. but i will always run a front brake. to eash is own, this is mine and thankfully that is yours

wow i guess i should relentlessly pick apart my bike in the signature line, just as i dont twitter, facebook, or anyother social bs i dont feel like the need to "update" my signature constantly. I havent been back to a harley dealership since buying the bike and havent put a "genuine" accessory on the bike, so thanks for all the assumptions. I would much rather have a bike somewhat similiar to someone elses, than some paul jr. wanna be bike.
I do think i should state for the record, other than your front wheel on the back thing, i think your bike is solid. Looks like a clean build with a consistent design, I do think for asthetics and your carb issue though you probably should have started with a ironhead. The bike would just look that much better with a kicker hanging off the side of it.
