Default Alarm system blocked after FOB batt change

I changed the battery in my FOB (2009 Nightster) and now, the bike won't start.
I'm pretty frustrated right now.

I don't have the pin for the system. Is there a way to get this thing to start again or am I screwed?

Do you have an owners manual for your bike? There is a section in it describing the drill for assigning a new PIN #. I grew weary of mine and just took the entire mess off my '07. It should show the current PIN # in the speedo...this link may help you. http://www.cyclefish.com/forum/Harle...de-2762-1.html

I have the manual. I figured it out.

The FOB didn't work because the new batteries from Radio Shack were not good, Both of them!

I got some energizers and I'm good to go. Whew!

Used to be a time long ago that when ever you bought a battery, conductor, transistor or anything like that it was tested before you left the store. Now days at Radio Shack you'ed be lucky if the sales guy even knew what soldering iron was or even knew how to use it.

For future reference, I believe the default code is 11111 (unless you changed it).
