Default Front Tire Distance

How many miles average do you get for your sporty tires? Im going on 11k and someone told me i need a new front tire. And that i might as well get a back tire at the same time. Any one have anything to comment to that? Its an 04 883C.

I just changed both my tires at 11,000 miles. The rear tire still had some miles left on it but the front needed replaced, I just did both as they were having a sale at the local dealer where it cost me $240 for both tires, tube, rim band, balance, and install.

Depends alot on the type of riding you do. I live near a beautiful canyon carving area which is usually my daily ride and at just over 10,000 miles my front (1200 C) has 2/32 left (right at the replacement recommendation). The rear has 4/32.

I have somewhere between 11 - 12 k on mine. They are both still good, but I figure within the next 1,000 miles I'll be replacing both of them. Probably whenever I find a good sale on tires.

I have about 11,000 miles and have already replace both tires. I did the rear about two years ago, and my front about one year ago (I'm not sure how many miles I had at the time).

14.5 on front and about 10k on the rear. HD says 7500 is average for the rear and 10-12 for the front, if it is Dunlop. Usually the rear is replaced 2 -1 compared to the front.

Change both of mine at 20,000 miles and thought I could have kept the front for another 5,000.

Just took mine to the shop last weekend for new skins @ 11,000 miles.
Could have rode the front a little longer, but MI summers are short and did not want to lose the scoot for a day.
