my engine warning and battery light keep going on and off ..
on for a few mins..off for 10 mins..then back on for a few seconds etc..
any idea what it could be ? thanks
Just had similar problems with mine. It's not a 2012 but symptoms the same. It turned out to be regulator. As the guys said, there's a recall on the 2012 regulators.
All fixed, dealer fitted a new regulator today, lovin' the bike..
looking forward to getting her fully run in and then will fit some V&H Big Radius exhausts..
It happened to mine yesterday. Same exact thing. Called the dealer and have an appointment to have it replaced on Friday when they do my 1000 MI service. Then off to San Antonio on Saturday. I'm sure glad it happened before I left.
Same thing was happening to me on my recent trip to NH. On my way back to NY my bike died. When I finally made it home I took out the battery and lo and behold the ground came loose from the screw. So, before anyone goes and pays to get their voltage regulator replaced, please, please, please check your ground. It only takes a few seconds and it's free.
