This question's been around a few times and if you do a search I'm sure you'll find a host of answers. As for me, I have a 2005XL1200R and depending on whether it's in-town or highway miles, I get between 50 & 58 mpg. I find I get the 58 mpg if I'm in the 50-60 mph range. Anything below or above that andmy mileage starts to drop off. I run SE II exhaust and a stock AC at the moment...

When stock, I averaged 42-48 mpg. Never got close to 53, so it sounds like your bikes are doin' good.

On average with city and highway..about 48 - 52..sometimes better some not so good. If I ride in a Parade, that tank will get about 25 mpg...something about all that throttle bumping...???!!!!

That's on an 06 883...with TAXES PAID.
