Haha......I think we would get along well. At Delta we are known as Coneheads, a nickname affectionately giving to use because we are a strange group of nerds that just have to (and usually do) figure everything out. And no, I retired from Delta back in 08.
The low internal resistance of the Triplet is precisely why we were required to have one. It had to be used anytime an official test (a test that has your signature) was done. Once a year our meters were turned in to PMET to be calibrated and certified. I havent looked at the date on my sticker (the one that says Delta Airlines) but Im sure its out of date.
My old company would never recalibrate our meters. They would tell you to "loose" them and request a brand new one. I guess it was cheaper for them to replace them rather then spend the man hours to test and recalibrate. Fluke got rich.
