I have a 75 sportster that won't charge purchased new genny and reg polarized and no charge I ran the wire from armature to ARM on genny feild to feild and wire to batt also attached dummy light wire to feild what am I missing please help

 

did you check the battery???

 

Yeah also new battery put the old buzz back on getting up to 14 volts now guess the after market regulater is junk should have known cheapest thing I bought

 

might try testing continuity on all the wiring. I had a break in a wire on mine one time.

 

well ain't that the way it goes...always the last thing you look at...go figure!!

Regulater went back to the oem guess the one that came on her works just fine went for a hundred mile ride came home fired right up love my sporty she old but gold just ain't a head unless its a iron head
