I'm thinking about either painting my grey engine on my 883 all black and then getting chrome willie g skull covers or maybe a different collection of covers or keeping the engine grey and getting black covers for the engine. Not too sure what I want to do because I really havent seen any one do this with the opposites. I'm interested in trying this so the engine has some contrast. Has anyone done either one? If so can you post pics?
If I cant find anyone that has done this I'm thinking of trying to find someone who can photoshop my ideas so I can get an idea of which I like better if any.
If anyone can do this let me know and I'll get you some pics of my bike and the covers I'm interested in. I can also throw you a fw bucks via paypal for your time photoshopping.
Why not take off your derby cover, inspection cover, and timing cover (maybe rear sprocket cover too?) and paint them black, I think it would look good. You can always change, and you don't have to mask off the whole engine to paint it.
I think I am gonna try to paint the black covers first and use PlastiDip paint just to see how it would look. Then I could always peel it off when I'm done. I found a member by the name of Coze that did the black engine with chrome covers but can only see his avatar pic. Maybe he will post some pics.
