Default 2005 sportster 1200 rear shock load after lowering

2005 xl1200c. Installing a 3 degree rake cups and would like to lower the rear and inch or two to accomadate the lower front end. Whats some suggestions on the burlys or progressives compared to the lowering bracket kits. How the ride improves And does it stay the same with the after market shocks compared to the stock and most importantly does te weight of a 225lb rider and occasionally the wife with a total load of ticklin' the 400lb range will it be possible by lowering the bike without bottoming out? Funny "need to join a gym" jokes won't get the wife there!! Trust me!
