Default 2007 883L low fuel indicator
allright i have a 2007 883L with 435 miles on it, its done this since my first fill up, right after i fill up every once in a while the low fuel indicator light comes on, stays on and then goes off. Im driving on flat roads so its not like it could be triggeredfrom off camber situatioons. Is this normal? Is there a recall for it? NO big hurry since theres about 6 inches of snow and its 25 out. I know itll be covered under warranty, but i am a mechanic at a ford dealer and i know how annoying it is when people come in for the stupidest things, so i dont wanna go to the dealership in the spring looking like an idiot.

That is NOT normal, so have the dealer replace the sender. It seems that the indicator light is a problem on a small number of new Sportsters, per posts on another forum.

Yeah the sending unit is either bad, or the PCM has a cali issue.

Not normal...let us know if the dealer takes care of it.

I need to hear of SOMEONE that actually gets some warranty work.
