I am 6' even and am looking to go with forward controls on my 08' Nightster. I have highway pegs on there now, but they just arent long enough for me to stretch my legs out without having the pegs right above my ankle bone. I was wondering if anybody has the regular forward controls or 2 in. extended controls that is around the same height as myself and which is in your opinion a better fit? I am also about to go from mini apes to Roland Sands 16" King Apes. Just looking for others input for some ideas.
I have the 48 and the stock forward controls on it feel great to me. I am 6'2".
When sat on the bike I have a bend in my knee that puts my knee close to the 10 o'clock position on the stock air cleaner cover. It has been a comfortable ride and when on the highway I have stretched my legs out putting my Achilles tendon on the peg and it still feels great.
Thats about the same position I get with my highway pegs but I like the feel of the being able to stretch the legs all the way out since I have knee problems from the military. Plus I am going to go with the Screaming Eagle intake on there as well so I don't know about how well that would be with forwards.
