Valve chatter/noise

Since my conversion I’ve noticed the valve chatter/noise is louder then it used to be when it was a 883. Is this normal? I’ve noticed it gets louder the hotter then engine gets. Apologize for all the stupid questions.

Did you go from oil to syn? If so there loader with syn.

my bike's engine noises definately got louder after I switched to Syn.

Synthetic oil should be called sound enhancement fluid. Yes its common for the bike to get louder the hotter it gets. The oil thins as it heats up.

Now we just need K9BO to tell us if he switched to syn or if he is running dyno oil.

The only synthetic that amplified noise in my bike was mobil 1. No other synthetic was louder. Royal purple and motul were less noisy than conventional.
