You haven't felt heat from an engine until you ride a 2007+ Twin Cam..OUCH!

mid frame heat deflectors
I have a 2009 xl1200l sportster/Motor Trike . I was wondering if the RJS mid frame heat deflectors would heat up my oil tank more??

Never thought of using heat deflectors. I think you get used to the heat until you don't notice it anymore. I can't think of a time that I felt too hot on the bike unless it was nearly 100 outside with high humidity. Don't think heat deflectors would help much in that situation. Seems like the heat deflectors would eventually heat up and radiate heat just the same. Besides that, cutting off airflow around an air cooled engine doesn't seem like a good idea.
