Upgrading to LED's, wiring same?

Upgrading to LED's, wiring same?
Removing the old style tail light on my 93 and thinking about doing two LEDS on the sides where the current turn signals are. Any wiring differences between light bulb style and using LEDS do I have to add anything or solder and go? Dumb question but I haven't ordered the new lights or removed current light so I don't know what the wiring looks like.

Alright gotcha. The other question I had...the only lights I'm finding in the style I'm looking for are considered "turn lights". But I want to use them as brake lights. As long as they are dual function lights I should be good? Just need run and brake.
