Default 180 on a superlow?

Im finding that with the added horsepower on my bike, a 150 doesnt seem to be enough tire so im thinking of swapping to a 180. I have an old 180 here that im measuring and pondering with, looks like the only issue i may run into would be the belt being very close but not touching the tire (belt guard would need to be removed) has anyone done this? Is there a way to space the belt and pulleys over 1/4 inch or so?

Your 150 tyre is certainly man enough for the job, so no need to change it because of that! However if you fancy a wider one that is another matter. You have the 180, so let us know how you get on. There are threads in here on fitting wide tyres to other Sporty models, so worth doing some reading!

A 180 is likely going to call for a 4.00" - 5.00" wide rim, rather than the 3.00" you have.
FYI - A Metzeler ME880 160/80-16 is spec'd by the manufacturer for your 3" rim and will fit.

I think you'll find the SuperLow has a 4.5" rim, first of the Sporties with low profile tyres!

How much power?
I still run a 130 tire.
