Default A not so tall mans Q's about a 48

Hi,

Has anyone on here got a forty eight and around 5' 6" ?

Just wondering how they get on with the forward controls and seat height after time...

Also is the handlebar reach was an issue ?

Cheers

Not a problem but I think that you are the max height for a 48. Great ride for most smaller women.

Huh? Well, that's not even close to right.

I'm 5ft6" 125lbs. and have no problem getting on and off of the bike. Sits low enough. I even have 10" Z bars with 1" risers and love the height of them.

5'9" and I feel the seat height is about perfect (31" inseam). The stock bars are just a bit too far, and I plan to rake them in over the winter to gain about 1/2" or so.

It's more about your inseam than your actual height as far as being able to flat foot a bike. The handlebar reach can always be adjusted with risers, new bars or sometimes just moving the stock bars closer. Best way to find out is go sit on one and preferably test ride it.

You'd prolly be better off with mids. Little more aggressive riding style but you might feel like you have more control over the bike with your knees closer in towards the tank. I'm 5'10" and it feels way better for me. I had forwards and went back.

5'6" ... 31" (ish) inseam

i love the fit of the stock forward controls. but i also use the passenger pegs and lean forward when in 5th gear at 80+ on the highways during my commute.

kinda like a cafe style ride.

Yup.

Some of the solo seats move you down and closer to the bars and forward controls. This is what I've ordered for my '06 883(1200)c. At 5'7" & 27" i.s., the stock 2-up seat places me just beyond comfortable reach of both bars and forwards. And unable to get both heels on the ground, standing over the seat.
