Reading my VIN#

I've deciphered my Sporty's VIN number. The last letter before the sequential number is supposed to denote in which factory the bike was made.

So what factory does the letter K represent ?

5 HD 4 CA M 1 9 6 K 467049
International, H-D, lightweight, XLH, 883 evo XL,Regular Introduction, 9, 2006 , factory ?, 467049

K = Kansas (same as mine)

If I'm not mistaken, ALL Sportsters in this country are assembled in the Kansas City, MO factory.

A minor clarification: The HD plant is in Kansas City, Missouri. Not Kansas.

I am in South Africa, (hence the first digit of my VIN not being a 1) & I did not know that...thank you.

As they say: a day when you don't learn something, is a day wasted..
