Good Day. I've been reading your post and several other sites and having no luck tracking down what specific eng I have in my 2007 HD Electra Glide. I know its not the same motor that came with the bike and you all seem to be a plethora of information. Any help is much appreciated. Eng stamp is *FMM7634121*
Hello and thanks in advance for any help. i was pretty much given this engine with the frame and title. the numbers dont seem to make much sence to me. but they match on the title. not sure if this is some type of after market engine block. but being able to know what size and stuff would help me in the rebuilding process. i have already been to the MVD and everything checked out good with it the bike and the title and they issued a title to me in my name. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
would like to see a pic of the neck vin, engine numbers do look funny, should be something like 3A12345H7

Mike, Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. That engine number IS original to your frame! As you can see, it is a sub-set of the full VIN. Go to the H-D website and the Owners tab, where you should be able to enter that VIN and get up details of your bike. It is also possible your engine is a factory rebuild, as they used to operate a scheme whereby a dealer could send off an old engine (which may be worn out or damaged) and supply a rebuilt replacement, with the original ID.
If you have the complete VIN, which is 17 characters long and stamped into the frame near the steering head, you can identify your bike on the H-D website right here:
Did you ever figure out your engine number? Mine is similar to this and I cant seem to figure it out based on all of the guidelines on the web... mine is BKLJ018785.
