Is this a test? Does the engine and VIN match? Do you have the VIN?

From here I can only guess it is a XLH 1000 from 1981.

Be very Careful of Generalizations...
ie, 1970 till 1980 was Not 17 digits at all... and the "layout" was different... ie No 1HD1
1981 to 2000 were also a bit different, from 2001 on... Due Diligence Required.....
post # 20 is an XLS 1000 Ironhead, from 1982!!!!

BTW BK = FXSTC, L= 1340 EVO... J= 1988... and P =1993...post #19...

How do you read these?
Im looking at a bike with a broken aftermarket frame, engine case number is *CANH116607*
ANY IDEAS?

Hi guy's, need some help I was given a set of casings and can't work out the number on them was told they are 1340 the No ECLF117651.

or???? A picture of the cases would help a tremendous amount..

I was wondering if you also have any idea what BKLK is?? I bought a big dog chopper but it has a Harley Davidson motor with issues but I can't seem to address them because I have no idea what year or size the engine is the numbers casted on the side of the motor are as follows ⭐BKLK027498⭐
