Default Cheap "eyebrow" mod

Don't know if this particular mod has been posted or not, did a search and didn't see it anything like it here, so here goes....

So, like many others, I didn't like the look of the eyebrow above my sled's headlight. But I also like not spending a lot of money, so I dealt with it for a while. Then I saw someone do this on another forum, so I did it myself and thought I'd share it over here.

After using and band saw and a bench grinder to remove the unnecessary material:

After sanding and polishing (started with 200, then 400, 800, and 1000) grit, then hand polished using a blue magic)

Putting it on the bike and spot adjusting the headlight

Everything back together

Pretty simple little mod, just takes a couple tools and some time. You could do it with a dremel or an angle grinder to remove the excess material, but it would take a good deal longer. I did it over the course of three days, but I think I spent about an hour each day on it. Could be done faster if you had better tools, like a polishing wheel for the bench grinder... And if you're worried about messing up your stock piece, you can get take offs on eBay for about $20 shipped. Anyway, that's all I got. Enjoy!

Dunno why the middle pics aren't working, I'll try another hosting service later when I'm not on my phone...

Pretty cool, I wonder if the adjustment cap would snap into the hole.

Why do people call it an eyebrow? It's a visor! Looks neat man. Nice job.

Diggin the idea man a little bit of time goes a long way. I drilled my triple tree and welded the headlight so it doesn't vibrate at all.

Its different on the irons and nightsters. yours is blacked out so it kinda disappears against the whole of the bike. When it's chrome, it stands out more. Some people don't like it, others don't seem to mind. I didn't like it, but I didn't dislike it enough to spend $100 or more on aftermarket. This way, I made it better without having to dive into my paycheck.
