Cheap "eyebrow" mod
So, like many others, I didn't like the look of the eyebrow above my sled's headlight. But I also like not spending a lot of money, so I dealt with it for a while. Then I saw someone do this on another forum, so I did it myself and thought I'd share it over here.
After using and band saw and a bench grinder to remove the unnecessary material:

After sanding and polishing (started with 200, then 400, 800, and 1000) grit, then hand polished using a blue magic)

Putting it on the bike and spot adjusting the headlight

Everything back together

Pretty simple little mod, just takes a couple tools and some time. You could do it with a dremel or an angle grinder to remove the excess material, but it would take a good deal longer. I did it over the course of three days, but I think I spent about an hour each day on it. Could be done faster if you had better tools, like a polishing wheel for the bench grinder... And if you're worried about messing up your stock piece, you can get take offs on eBay for about $20 shipped. Anyway, that's all I got. Enjoy!
