i just got a new 19" wheel and i was wondering what others have done to cover the one side with no brake rotor. my new wheel is threaded on both sides for 2 rotors....bike only has one rotor. factory wheel has no visible holes on the right side and i dont just want open holes on the right side of the new wheel.....any input is greatly appreciated. thanks
yea thats what i figured but the factory wheel just looks nicer finished with the solid cover with no holes
On my particular model you can see that HD was just cutting corners by using the same wheel & fender for multiple applications. At first I was wondering why the fender was such bad fitment. You can see that the gap between the fender & tire is greater at the ends than it is in the center. Then I realized it would fit a 21" wheel perfectly.
Same with the mag wheel hub. They obviously use the same wheel for single & dual disc applications. They just put bolts in to cover the wholes. I'm guessing it would look OK with yours as well.
thanks for the pic....the bolts in your wheel are not bad at all. not noticable like i thought they would be. what size front tire are you running?
i dont know if i want a 100/90 or a 110/90 19".....probably the 110 but not 100% positive yet. im getting the metzler 880 tires because i have a 200 rear and that tire is really nice...excellent profile and it wears great.

Mine is the 90/100-19.
No fitment issues with the Metz 200 rear? I need tires front & back and I do a lot of canyon cruising. I hear the Metzler's are pretty good for that, over the Dunlap's anyway. I think I'll price them too.
if you had the 100 or 110 front tire i think you would be happier with the look. you would have a little more sidewall to fill in towards the fender. my next rear tire will probably be the metzler 210 instead of the 200.....cant wait till its nice out so i can ride
