Yep, pretty close but I can't see your adjuster.

But the rear tail piece that is welded to the arm, that has the slot and axel, look like mine.

Not my bike. Why I posted it. I could not see the adjuster your were talking about or any adjuster either.

I believe the adjusters are covered up by the after market shock bracket.

Are the adjusters on the newer XLs somehow permanently affixed to the bike? On every HD I've worked on, the adjusters are a block that fits into the end of the swingarm, w/an eye-bolt through which the axle is installed.

Yes, the adjusters are a fixed item on the swing arm.

They consist of an eyebolt, locknut, with just a hole drilled thru the back of the cast metal axel slot bracket. The bracket is one piece welded to the swing arm.

OK - how would you get the eyebolt out to replace it if it has excessive wear? Hmm - I've gotta go look at one of these a bit more closely to get my head wrapped around it.

The eyebolt is removable, it is removed from the wheel side of the swing arm.
