Hi everyone! This is my first post as a Harley owner and I couldn't be more proud. I was riding a Kawasaki Vulcan and this is a big step up for me.
I am taking delivery on a 2008 1200N in the next couple weeks. When I first saw it and bought it the heat shields were missing. I assumed they would be missing when I took delivery but the darn dealership found some spare heat shields and put them on for me. That was very nice of them.
SO, should I return the black exhaust tape, ties and spray that I bought or should I take the heat shields back off and get the really cool wrapped look that I wanted? Pros? Cons?
I could use the warmth, Pixiechitos. It's still freezing with snow on the ground here. :-) I would be fine with a couple years use out of the stock pipes.
Gonna go with no wrap as suggested! Thanks everyone! Pics coming as soon as it's delivered. I expect it to be done in the next couple weeks. This was a high mileage bike so the Harley shop here in Omaha is giving it a REAL going over. :-)
