the idle speed on my bike is really high when I come to a stop. It stays really high until I let out the clutch it is a
1995 883 sportster any ideas

 

have you tried to adjust the idle screw?

 

Seems like they do that to keep the oil preasure high during stops.

hmmmmmmmm....mine stays idling high too, maybe 5 seconds after I pull in the clutch, had the carb overhauled last year, I was thinking about calling the shop up and asking them to look at it, now I'm wondering if this is normal, anybody else with this issue?

 

Your idle should be 950-1050rpm

Have u adjusted the idle when HOT?

 

where is the idle screw located ?
