I got one of the early versions of the D&D Bobcat exhaust for my 48. They now have a performance baffle option now that lends itself best to engines that have been modified. Not quite plug and play to change baffles...but if you can easily/safely remove and re-install 1/8" pop rivets, you can change it easily in an afternoon.
At idle is has a nice throaty but soft sound...
WOW cant describe the sound the engine makes at 3000 rpm and higher... OMG...better than my first time discovering sex....
Had not seen this post. I got mine with the performance baffle just out of pure luck. I only ordered the exhaust without specifying a baffle. Did not know there were options on that).

I found a thread on XL Forums that compares performance on both baffles. I was surprised to see that the performance looses a few points on power/torque...

But the sound is frigging amazing!!
There is nothing like the sound of the bobcat...truly makes the bike unique...
And you really need a setup with a good mic to record this... or the sound of the wind and all other noises around just do not let you record the sound correctly... I tried different methods (sony camera, go-pro without mic, etc...) and this setup provided the cleanest sound...
