Default cracked throttle body?? HELP....

Hey guys so I was at work and my heavy breather came in...

My friend was at my house and said, "Hey you want me to put it on for you?" I wasnt going to be home for awhile so I said yes. He knows how to do stuff with bikes/cars, etc.. but I guess he got to torque happy. The 3 bolts that go into the housing he torques one side all the way down before he did the other 2 and cracked a piece off of that actual throttle body "cracked fully through, I can take the piece off." I mixed some JB weld up and put it on so right now its staying pretty good... I just dont know how long it will last with all the vibration and stuff so im thinking of just buying a new one because I'm nervous if the JB weld cracks I can be losing a ton of air flow and mess something up.

-Does anyone know where I can buy one? (besides a harley dealership)? also what years/bike will work?

I will be able to post pics tomorrow.

Moral of the story: "Patience is a virtue" & "if you want something done right, do it yourself"

Thanks guys

This has happened a few times in recent posts. The consensus was if it can't be fixed with JB weld, you need to buy a new one from the dealer (no real alternative).

I think the problem was faulty setup or spacers when installing it.

In my experience, if something doesn't seem right, I stop and check. I may have more experience than average, but it's a pretty good rule.

As stated already, not uncommon...but still crappy to deal with. I've fixed a few with JB Weld. Throttle bodies and carbs both. Guys try to use the stock air cleaner screws and they're too long.

Post a pic maybe? If it's too bad you'll need to replace it.
