I have been riding my new SG since I got in Oct just about everyday, the only time I dont is when its raining or I;m ginna get caught in the rian at some point.
Since I've had it I've been getting these on again off again vibescoming thru my stock grips, mainly in my throttle grip. at first I thought it just needed to be broke in but I've got around 2k know and figured that should take care of it. nope still doin it[sm=headbang.gif]. I don't (usually) go over 80 mph so I dont figure on it being too much speed. the odd thing is it doesn't do it all the timeand when it does its not always at the same time as the last.does anybody have any ideas on what the issue is ?

tire pressure OK? rain grooves on the highway? i think many (if not all)vehicleshave a harmonic vibration point that occurs at a certain speed/RPM...slightly under and slightly over thatpoint, the vibration goes away.
Try repositioning your handle bars. I had the same problem with my RK Classic. The angle of the handgrip on the bars caused my wrist to be bent all the time and after a while my thumbs would fall asleep. I moved them forward and back and rotated the clutch and brake levers. I finally ended up changing the bars out to the street slammers and it's like day and night. I had always ridden bikes with drag bars and the stock RK bars just didn't work for me.
Get the service manual, it's the best reference for your bike. In it, there's a section on critical fasteners, i.e. the bolts that hold the engine in the frame as well as the fasteners that have some type of vibration dampening function (such as the front engine mount). Make sure the fasteners are tightened to spec. Also, check out the front engine mount, make sure it's in good condition.
