I recently bought a really nice 2000 883 for my old lady, beautiful shape, well taken care of, and the day I bought it, the PO changed the oil with HD factory oil ( I saw the old bottles in the garage), so I didn't change the oil right away, didn't have to.
Bike always ran great, normal vibration to be expected from a solid mount evo. I just changed the oil today, with Castrol 20-50 motorcycle oil (although it didn't specifically say it was for vtwins), and now, this thing feels like its going to vibrate the fillings out of my teeth from 1500- redline under a heavy load, say from 5mph then wide open throttle.
I've checked and rechecked every fastener on the bike, wheels, belt, mounts, steering head, etc and can find nothing wrong. I don't hear any difference in engine noise. Is it possible this new oil is causing the issue? I mean, I know sportsters vibrate, but this is unbearable. Anyone ran into this issue?
Uh yea dude lol. And absolutley both cylinders are firing, there's no misfire whatsoever. Seriously? Forget to put the oil back in? Who does that? Oil pressure is good, didn't have a gauge but I borrowed the one off my softail to check. Forgot to mention I put a k&n oil filter on it as well.

Well, something must have changed. Did you do anything at all, besides change the oil. Just too coincidental. We're here to help, just checking the basics, simple things get overlooked all the time.
Thanks John. No, I didn't do anything at all, other than change the oil, and it's a whole bike, pegs and handlebar vibration, not a wheel balance vibration, it changes with engine speed. It's so bad, almost feels like the engine has a bent rod or flywheel.
