Hi all. Newbie sporty owner here. Not a newbie to bikes. Been riding since '70. Previous has been Ducs, Guzzi, BMW.....Now it's an '05 standard. Got it a month and a half ago. Batwing, saddlebags, SE stage 1 setup came on it. I've added Street Glide air shocks and a Mustang solo seat.
Finished the shocks yesterday by adding linked airlines. Much easier adjustment then separate valves. Had today off, wife working. Guess I'll have to try this thing out. Went up the coast on my favorite ride. Windy, up and down, decreasing radius turns, loose stuff in the corners. all the good stuff. Really like the torqueiness of the motor. Predictable handling. The shocks are a huge improvement.Going back to the Badlander seat. The Mustang's great, really helps the ride. Guess I'm just not a "pocket seat" kinda guy. Cold and foggy, so over a fun mountain road to the central valley area. Stopped at Gary Bang HD to look around. Really like the Iron. But it's just cosmetic over my bike, and mine's paid for. A good day over all......Ragged Point/Hwy#1 Nice stretch of road.. Obligatory bike shot...

Man what I would give to ride through that scenery! Thats one good looking bike you got there! Good Luck with it
One of the world's great rides. Hwy #1 from Morro Bay,Ca to Monterey, Ca. Get's rated in the top ten every time a magazine tries to list them. I feel lucky to live here. And ride it every year to the USGP @ Laguna Seca...
Sweet ride. Can you tell me what brand your saddlebags are....really like them. Very clean lines.....and about the bat wing....what brand? And does it only fit with the stock bars.....I have a sporty with drag bars and not sure it would work. Thanks for your info
They're HD brand hard bags. They're covered in leather. Like anything HD, they're spendy. $699.00 I'd try the Bay.
I think the fairing's Memphis Shades. I think the drag bar's clear. I don't think it'd be comfortable that low with no wind to counterbalance you, tho......

Great shots! Your new Mustang seat looks great on your Sporty! Thanks
Great write up and pics. Your bike has a great set-up with the bags and batwing. I managed to ride Highway 1 a few years ago from Montery down to San Louis Obispo and I loved every minute of it. Fantastic scenery and roads
