file down an Engine Guard Bracket
I have to shave 2mm off the end of my engine guard bracket. That's a lot of metal. Any suggestions how to do this and with what type of file or tools? I don't suppose my local Harley shop would do this for me would they?

my linby bar bracket was not aluminum. i would see if there is a machine shop or metal polishing shop near you if you don't have a bench type grinding wheel. easiest way to get a nice square edge.

A Dremel could take an 1/8 inch off, but a cheap right-angle grinder with a grinding wheel will do it 100 times faster. A belt sander would probably make a clean, fast job of it, too.
