vulcan wide glide conversion, need help...
Hey Guys,
today I received my order from vulcan, a wide glide triple tree.
i desided to mount it ride away, but...when tension is applied to the front end (botton of forks moved foreword, like the bike is sitting on its wheels) it won't move side to side. with no tension, smooth as butter....
there are also a few pieces in the box, I can't place the anywhere 2 chromes rings and 2 small aluminium rings....the 2 small aluminium ring where on the tripple tree axle, but I havent got a clue where they go....also no drawing in the box....allready send a mail to vulcan, but maybe someone also did this conversion and could help me out....

You have two stem spacers and two dust caps there. Maybe some pic's in my old thread will help... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...l-on-07-a.html Others have deleted the dust caps...up to you, but you must use the stem spacers.
When you tighten up the stem bolt make certain either the two top or the two bottom pinch bolts are loose so the trees can draw together. Once satisfied with the neck bearing tension/fall away put a little blue lock-tite on the stem set screw (back of the top triple tree) to lock it in place.
My kit as delivered for the '07 w/3/4" axle...
