No more "Forty Eight" in 2014?
In process in helping my son in buying a 2013 Vivid Black Forty-Eight. While talking to the a salesman, he mentioned that H-D was terminating stateside production of the Forty-Eight, but was to make them available internationally. Not sure if he was feeding me crap in making the purchase or it could be true.
Yeah Hd just released the cuts. The 48 wasn't on there but the XR was along with some other bagger bullshit no one cares about. Lol. That's why you never trust a salesman. Especially an Hd salesman.

HD usually releases info for the next years models in August from what I remember, so we should know about the 2014's by then. They did issue a press release confirming 6 dropped models, mostly baggers and the XR but no info on new models or updates to existing ones yet!

Good info. Sales guy was probably trying to force us into a purchase. To tell you the truth, if they make or don't make the Forty-Eight next year still wouldn't hinder our purchase. We are trying to get the most bike out of his dollar.
In that case my man...peruse eBay and Craigslist and don't be afraid to do so. There's a ton of good deals there even if its not a 48. Part of the fun is customizing that bad boy. Good luck. You sound like a cool dad!

I can vouche for ebay brother, i have purchased 3 motorcycles ( Kawasaki ninja 250, and 2 9R's) and my Audi TT from ebay. Its the best deal out there but you just have to know how to communicate with the seller. As long as you have cash on hand and or you have your bank ready to give you the funds then your golden.
