Default Tinted the headlight for all of $10

Since I almost got the bike together and all I figured I'd tint the headlight(why not?) and I couldn't really find a smoke tint spray that I think will hold up to all the debris of the road so went ahead and took my hand at using window tint and surprisingly turned out real good tool about 5 minutes

35% tint(peel and cling type)

Looks cool! That lens get pretty hot, you sure the tint will hold up?

I don't understand tinting a headlight. I mean, I am converting to an LED because I want it to be brighter not dimmer.

I love the tinted look as well. Looks way better than standard clear IMO. But 35% will diminish the light output a great deal. I recently installed the 7" LED Truck-Lite on my ride. One of the many perks I love about it is that it "looks" tinted, but the lens is actually clear. The reflector picks up the black from the inner housing that creates a tinted, smoked look, yet it's extremely bright. Unfortunately they're only available in 7".

I love the look of that bike! Nice and black and brings attention to the other chrome items.

Looks good, but I have a feeling that tint you used is going to melt to the light and make a mess-like said the light gets hot.

Not sure about your State but in most of others it is illegal to tint by any means the front headlight (in less DOT approved), I would think if it is still bright the Law won't have much to say about it but if it is dim be prepared.

Aside from the loss of light issue and it being illegal in most states, I don't understand what road debris has to do with anything. Just like on your windows, tinting is supposed to go on the inside of the glass.

-4. This puzzles me. Most states require bikes to burn their headlamps 24/7 in an effort to make them more apparent to oncoming vehicles and here you are wanting to deminish your appearance on the road just for the sake of looking cool? This along with turn signal elimination, another idiotic "mod" in my opinion [also illegal in some states unless you're on an anchient bike], is destined to lead to trouble from the man, or worse yet, disaster. And who needs either?

Sorry if my opinion offends.
