Default SE Clutch kit and soft clutch option?

I was going through all the stock previous parts used and given to me by the previous owner.. I came across a SE Clutch kit that apparently wasn't used or better said installed.

What is the benefit of this SE Clutch kit? Also, my clutch is extremely hard plus having a bad left shoulder doesn't help. I would like to reduce the fatigue of the clutch. Do need this done by a Harley tech or myself? What do I need to do?

You can put a 883 diaphram spring in the clutch...won't find an easier pull.

Seeing that he has an Iron if it is still stock it should be very easy to pull now.

The clutch on my bike is quite easy to pull, almost too soft in my opinion, but it has hardly ever seen the rain or wet roads. Maybe your cable needs lubing or replacement already? The SE spring from what I understand will give you a stiffer feel at the lever.

Could that be the stock clutch parts with the SE box?

Nope, box was sealed and never opened... I contacted the previous owner and he confirmed that the SE clutch kit was never used. The tech did something, don't recall what it was he said to the trans, some springs, etc were changed to compensate for the bikes new power

If it's hard to pull it's a safe bet the 883 spring was changed. If you don't have one I can send you mine for the price of shipping if you want.

Yes, it sounds like a stiffer spring is installed going back to the 883 spring will make it much easier and unless you are running well over 80hp should be more than adequate.

he is at 100 +hp according to his dyno. i'd leave the stiffer spring in there if it was me or you may find it slipping on you when your getting after it.

Recent clutch upgrade on mine, I found EnergyOne's 15% spring to be not that much greater pull over the 883. The 25% spring however is noticeable.

Agree with rick not to much harder pull but the extra grip is very noticeable.
