Default mini sissy bar

I really like the clean lines of the Hrley Davidson mini sissy bar. My local dealer says it won't fit with the stock seat. looks to me like it should without any issues. does any one out there have one installed with the stock seat and if you installed yourself , any difficulties?

I have a mini sissy bar on my 06 1200C and it works just fine with a stock seat.

I have it and the mini pad on my stock 05 1200 c. I also have the billet plate on the back. Sorry no picture to post but it looks like it was made for it.

Guys, thanks for the quick response. I installed the mini bar this past Saturday. Took only about 2hours Would have been less but my brother and buddy were supervising if you know what i mean. It looks great. Did notice one thing though, lock nut on the one side of the fixed bracket is cloer to the seat than on the other side? It actually touches the one side of the seat and is about a half inch away on the other? At first thought one of the brackets was maybe bent a little. but it actually looks like the seat is not symetrical in the rear. I am having a hard time explaining this I should post a pic and you guys could see it Any way any one have this issue???

dcreegan, I ordered the mini sissy bar, did not receive it yet.
Are you going with detachable sideplates?
Any pictures?

hang around No I went with the permanent ones. I thought the detachable ones looked to bulky and I really did not think I would be takeing it on and off that much. The permanent one is a little cheaper as well. Both look good though I think you will be happy with the detachable ones. Both give the bike a real cool look.

I had one nut close enough to the seat I was worried about chafe. I filed off enough from the inner face (the side the bolt goes in) that it is no longer a problem.
